Mesosaurus Fossil Site
The Mesosaurus Fossil Site is located 42km outside of Keetmanshoop, and features an ancient and well-preserved fossil. The Mesosaurus was one of the first marine reptiles, and is significant in providing evidence for the theory of continental drift as its remains have been found in both southern Africa and eastern South America. Guided tours of the area attractions are offered by the owner of the Camp.
